Hello all
I thought we should all be wishing the best for our friend Cindy, who retires from years of service in the Police Department at Forth Worth one month from today!
I wish you all the best mate, and happy happy days of freedom!
As you've given permission, I also wanted to share these great photos you sent me of you in uniform with your lovely brothers Manny and Chris.
You look really cool in uniform!!
Love ya

Awwwwww Bev...that's so sweet. I can't believe that 30 years and 2 months is almost over. It is a very bittersweet feeling. I will be focusing more on my music and other fun things, like traveling. I can't wait to go to Nottingham and visit my brother Manny. Of course, I will have to go hang out with Bev when I go to England. I will be doing fill in work at the law offices of several lawyer friends of mine when their para-legals are off on vacation. So I will have my plate pretty full.
Thanks for everything Bev...you're the best. |

Indeed, Dynasty.
You look very young, Cindy. I was surprised to read about your retirement. Wishing you all the best - of course. Sounds like you already planned so many things you wanna do after your retirement. Have fun! |

Gee....thanks...actually I will turn 51 in April. The pics of me and my brothers were taken November 30, 2009... I had my 21st birthday in the police academy. I can't believe that those thirty years went by as quickly as they did. Now I get to do the things I wanted to do but like some many other people...darn it...work just interfered with my fun things that I wanted to do. Thanks Iris and Dynasty.. |

| Thank you both very and very much. It was very very bittersweet and I have to admit to crying on my drive home. But I am ready for the new chapter in my life now. |

Awwws! Well, it's a big transition... but soon you'll be so busy having fun, you'll have no time to cry.
And hey! It's not March 1st til Sunday- so you get off a couple extra days early! _________________ Ometi'klan: If you couldn't secure the room, you should NOT plan on leaving it!!

Thanks Iris and Dynasty. It has been a week of partying and steak dinners and one especially wonderful surprise party at Texas de Brazil http://www.texasdebrazil.com/
There are a couple of cook outs planned at the stable where my bison Annie is boarded and at the historic North Fort Worth Horse and Mule Commission. The Horse and Mule Commission was purchased by a former Sgt and childhood friend Leonard Schilling. He is now a lawyer. That property is now a law office with stables and riding arena's on the property. Lots and lots of history on that piece of property.
The Parties continue |

| Well Dynasty, Monday is the 1 year anniversary of my retirement and tomorrow is the anniversary of my last day at the PD. The year has gone fast and I have several call in type jobs. Two of the jobs is fill in for the paralegals at two different law offices when they are going to be gone for more than a couple of days. Then teaching spanish for peace officers at the police academy's at Weatherford College and Tarrant County College when that block of instruction comes up. Of course my drumming and traveling...it has been wonderful and I highly recommed retirement. |

Ah! Here is where you mentioned it!
I imagine it helps to do some work despite retirement- help out, get a bit of extra money etc. And teaching Spanish especially would be very satisfying, opening up a new world for the law-enforcement! I really should brush up on my Spanish... _________________ Ometi'klan: If you couldn't secure the room, you should NOT plan on leaving it!!
